EDISA: “Event-Driven Enterprise Solutions”

  • POSTED: 05/05/2026

EDISA began its activity 42 years ago in Galicia, a region located in the northwest of Spain. In its early years, it expanded to other Spanish cities, including Barcelona and Madrid, where the company’s headquarters were established. Today, the company has 10 operational offices across Spain, Latin America, and Africa, and serves approximately 500 clients in more than 30 countries. From the outset, EDISA specialized in business management software, developing its own solution called LIBRA ERP, based on ORACLE technology, which includes a total of 32 modules covering all business operations.

LIBRA is aimed at medium-sized and large companies, with a high level of specialization in a limited number of business sectors. Its most important focus is the food industry, covering the entire sector value chain, from primary activities to processing industries and distribution.

Within this broad food sector, EDISA’s level of specialization stands out particularly in the fishing, frozen food, canning, and aquaculture industries, where they have a large number of references, including some of the leading companies worldwide in this field.

LIBRA also provides extensive functionality to these companies, both at the operational level and in terms of control and decision-making support. It offers a significant advantage over other applications that lack the level of adaptation and vertical integration required by companies in this sector. In particular, LIBRA delivers great value in all aspects related to traceability, with comprehensive end-to-end process control.

Why GDST?
The positioning of LIBRA ERP in the food sector allows us to have success stories across all processes in the value chain. Likewise, EDISA participates in major national and international events and trade fairs and is a member of several representative industry associations. We aim to contribute to the definition of standards that impact this sector, which is the main reason why we have joined the GDST.

Why Digital Seafood Traceability Matters
As mentioned, we aim to stay ahead and provide our clients with a solution adapted to current and future requirements.

Contributing to the GDST Standard
We believe we have a traceability module that stands out from existing solutions in the market. GDST operates at an institutional and global level, which will provide us with a broader perspective to further enhance our value proposition for clients.

How is Artificial Intelligence Impacting Your Business
Of course, Artificial Intelligence is an important part of our product. In fact, LIBRA has already anticipated this need and is integrating the catch certificates required by the European Union through an application based on Artificial Intelligence.
