We’ve just unveiled our new website to support the global adoption of the GDST Standard throughout fishery and aquaculture supply chains. We launched the website at our Regional Working Session during the Boston Seafood Expo, thanks to everyone who engaged with us during the event. Next we are gearing up to host our annual Plenary Session at Seafood Expo Barcelona.

The website launch is a strategic move to bolster global engagement and facilitate dialogue between the seafood industry, traceability experts, civil society and technology providers. By strategically networking at major events including the Seafood Expo in Barcelona, World Tuna Trade Conference and Exhibition in Bangkok, and Blue Food Innovation Summit in London, we are committed to expanding the reach of the global Standard to facilitate seamless data capture and sharing across the seafood industry.

Greg Brown, Executive Director at the GDST, says: “The website serves as a convenient entry point for information about the global Dialogue and the GDST tests, tools, resources and services that facilitate traceability implementation. GDST Partners who participate in the global Dialogue play a crucial role by driving progress towards interoperable digital traceability. Only through them will global adoption of the common Standard be possible. Their commitment to seafood traceability not only enhances their operational efficiency but facilitates regulatory compliance and reinforces consumer trust in the seafood they buy and eat.”

As we continue to champion the transition towards event-based seafood traceability through strategic events around the world, we invite businesses and organizations of all sizes to join our partner community.

For seafood professionals across the globe, you can join us at the Seafood Expo Global (SEG) in Barcelona 23rd to 25th April 2024, more details coming soon.
