NFA launches automated resource info system

The National Fisheries Authority (NFA) has launched its Fisheries Automated Resources Information System (Faris) to revolutionise fisheries management in Papua New Guinea, says managing director Justin Ilakni.

Ilaki said it was a vital step in the Goverment’s digital transformation strategy, connecting existing digital infrastructure with other Government services to creat a one-stop solution for citizens.

“The Faris solution consists of a suite of integrated modules, enabling the NFA to manage fisheries, licensing and accountability effectively”,he said.
